Your engine with the most towing capacity is the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that gives you 375-horsepower, which gives you a towing capacity of around 11,000 pounds.

As you can see, the Ford F-150 offers you slightly more towing capacity, as well as more engine options, but the Toyota Tundra does give you a more powerful V8 engine standard.

Exterior

Next, let’s take a look at the exterior of these two truck options. The Toyota Tundra is available with three different bed lengths. This truck has the option of a 5-foot-6-inch bed, a 6-foot-6-inch bed, or an 8-foot-1-inch bed. The Tundra truck looks strong with a bold front grille and LED lighting options. When it comes to technology, the F-150 offers you standard technology features like a rearview camera and the SYNC 3 infotainment system. You have to upgrade your vehicle to get additional features like an upgraded infotainment system, an 8-inch touchscreen, a premium audio system, Bluetooth, navigation, a USB port, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The Toyota Tundra offers you more standard technology features like the Wi-Fi hotspot, Amazon Alexa, and more. With the Ford F-150, you have to pay more to get some of those same features.

Safety

Finally, let’s take a look at the safety features these trucks offer you. The Toyota Tundra brings you a lot of great safety features standard, which is not always the case with all truck options. This truck gives you standard features like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. There are also some available safety features like rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and parking sensors.

The Ford F-150 offers you a couple of safety features standard. This vehicle gives you features like forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, a rearview camera, and automatic emergency braking standard. The rest of the safety features will be optional for upgrade. These optional safety features include parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and driver drowsiness monitoring.
