Purchase a Ford F-350

When looking at the crowded truck market, you know you have a lot of options, but one of the best options out there is the Ford F-350. Yes, if you want reliability, towing and payload, the F-350 is the way to go. Here are five reasons you need to buy the Ford F-350.

1) Strong and Powerful:

The power of the F-350 is what probably got you interested in it. With the standard 6.2-liter V-8, you get 385 horsepower and 430-lb-ft of torque. Combined with the ten-speed automatic transmission, and you will have power to do anything, whether it is towing or carrying a lot of heavy items in the bed. If you want even more power for towing, you can check out the diesel version. Simply put, when it comes to power, the F-350 is a beast.

2) Different Modes For Different Days:

Now, if you are looking at the F-350, you probably don’t realize that it can handle a lot of different terrain and driving styles. While most probably drive in the Normal Mode, there are other modes such as Slippery, Eco, Deep Sand/Snow and Tow/Haul modes. With Eco, you can maximize efficiency, while the other modes offer better hauling, safety in different terrain or standard. Not only that, some models even have the off-road mode, called Rock Crawl mode.

3) Easy To Keep An Eye on Things:

If you are driving a larger truck, you will want to be able to have control and keep an eye on things. The F-350 won’t let you down. It offers cameras mounted around the truck, which can give you a 360-degree view of what’s going on, in real time. This keeps you and your passengers safer and in control of the truck. You can also watch your truck even closer by having an additional camera in a specific position, for example in the back of the trailer.

4) Refined More Than You May Realize:

While trucks are rugged machines, they are also something that can offer you more comfort than you are waiting for. Yes, the F-350, especially at the top-end of the spectrum, offers a ton of comfort for passengers and the driver. With the King Ranch, Lariat and Platinum trims, you can feel like you are in a luxury vehicle. With goodies like ambient lighting, front seats that give massages, ventilated front seats and much more, the F-350 can make you feel like a king, or a queen.

5) Resale Value:

While you probably won’t want to sell your F-350 anytime soon, having a nice resale value is great. Luckily, the F-350 is so popular that you won’t have any trouble selling it to the next happy drive in the future. Not only that, but when you do sell your F-350, or trade it in, you will be able to buy newer versions that are much more refined.

If you are looking for a truck that does it all and keeps you comfortable, then consider the F-350. Tim’s Truck has many to choose one, and you are sure to find the perfect fit for you and your family, no matter your needs.

Ford F250 and F350

Many see the Ford F250 and the Ford F350 and think that they are very similar, and that’s not always the case. While there are a lot of similarities between the F250 and F350, there are a few differences, though many not obvious to the naked eye, and here they are.

Towing capability: Without a doubt, the biggest difference between the two trucks is the amount one can tow. To some, this isn’t that important, but to most serious truck owners, this is something to at least consider. The absolute maximum that a F350 owner can tow is up to 32,000 pounds. The F250 can tow, a still impressive, 18,500 pounds. If you want to tow over 30,000 pounds, you have your answer. If not, keep reading.

Payload: While most people talk about towing capacity, payload is important to consider as well. Both the F250 and F350 offer an impressive payload. The F350, naturally has a higher payload amount, which is 7,640 pounds, while the F250 is still impressive at 4,270 pounds. If you aren’t going to tow a ton or use the payload to the max, the F250 will probably work, though the F350 will get more done and may be worth the extra cash.

Exterior: To the naked eye, especially someone who isn’t into trucks, the F250 and F350 look similar. And it’s true, they share the same cab, trim size and bed options. The only difference that you can note is that the F350 has the option to have dual rear wheels. This allows more heavy duty towing.

Engines: Again, there isn’t a huge difference in the F250 and F350 when it comes to engines. Both have the same engine options as you can enjoy the 6.2 liter, Boss SOHC V8 engine, which offers 430-lb-ft of torque and 385 horses. Buyers can also enjoy the 6.7 liter turbo diesel, Power Stroke V8. This offers an astounding 935 lb-ft of torque and 450 horsepower. The truth is, in raw power, both are very impressive, and if you aren’t towing or carrying a heavy payload, you may not notice the difference. Both the F250 and F350 can be converted to run on Bi-Fuel, so they can run on both gasoline and propane or compressed natural gas.

While there is no right answer, if you want to consider if the F250 or F350 is better, there are a couple of important points to consider. If you upgrade the F350 towing capacity, you may have to get a commercial vehicle license in some states, and it’s best to verify the laws in your state. If that doesn’t matter, you should be okay to go with either, because the price is usually close. The F250 is probably the best option if you aren’t planning to put massive payloads in your truck or towing huge loads. Either way, if you want to check out the F250 and F350 and see what feels better for you, head to Tim’s Truck to check them out.

Purchase A Chevy 2500HD

As you begin your search for the perfect pickup truck, you will inevitably find a lot of information about Chevy trucks. While there are plenty of sleek trucks that aim to impress, if you want the best of the best, you should consider the Chevy Silverado 2500HD, and here are five reasons you must purchase one.

Plenty of power: Let’s face it, if you want to buy a truck, you will want to buy one with power. For starters, every trim level comes with a standard 6.6 liter, V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission. With just over 401 horsepower and 464-lb-ft of torque, you will be able to tow to your heart’s desire. Simply put, whether on the job site or taking your truck out on date night, the Chevy Silverado 2500HD fits the bill. However, if you want more, Chevy offers more with the 6.6 liter turbodiesel, which gives you 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with the 10-speed automatic, smooth-to-shift transmission, and you are in for some fun.

Storage: Nothing is worse than feeling stuffed inside your car or truck, but again, Chevy has you covered. For starters, with the 2500HD, you will enjoy large, spaced out cup holders. The driver and his or her passengers will also enjoy plenty of well-sized storage areas throughout the cabin. If you want to toss in a book or even a tablet, you will be able to do so in the door bin. Simply put, the 2500HD is a workhorse, but Chevy doesn’t skimp in storage space, and it shows.

Comfortable on the inside: While there are and have been plenty of workhorse trucks on the market that can do a lot, many of them are simply not comfortable. This isn’t the case with the Chevy Silverado 2500HD. With a beautifully arranged cabin and plenty of convenient features, passengers will always be comfortable. The 2500HD is perfect for workers going between job sites or a family on a road trip. Even at the base level, passengers will be comfy.

Legitimate off-roading: It’s one thing to have a shiny and beautiful truck, but many simply can’t go off-roading. This isn’t the case with the 2500HD. With a robust suspension, and plenty of 4X4 options, along with high ground clearance, the 2500HD has serious capabilities when it comes to off-roading. It’s really a multi-use truck as you can go off-roading on weekends and then to the job site on Monday morning.

Safety: While nobody wants to think of the unthinkable, anyone buying a truck must think of safety. Luckily, Chevy has thought of it all when it comes to safety. Chevy regularly receives rewards for the 2500HD. Coupled with OnStar, which offers a host of security and safety features including on-demand roadside assistance and automatic crash notification, among other things, the 2500HD will never let you down.

If you want to have a truck that does it all and keeps you safe and comfortable, consider the Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Tim’s truck has many new and used models available for you to check out.

Grey Toyota Tacoma pickup truck kicking up dust while driving through a barren, mountainous desert landscape.

The Toyota Tacoma is a very popular truck. It’s been around since 1995, and millions of people in the United States and around the world have been very satisfied with their purchase. City slickers, off-roading enthusiasts and people who run their businesses all get a lot out of the Toyota Tacoma, and here are five reasons to purchase one.

Long-Lasting: If you want a truck that will stand the test of time, a Toyota Tacoma is the right choice. You don’t have to look at statistics or surveys to know this. When out and about, it’s pretty obvious that there are tons of Toyota Tacomas out on the road, back to 1995, when they made their debut. If you want longevity, with little maintenance, you’d be hard pressed to beat the Tacoma.

Resale Value: While all vehicles lose value, over the long haul, you will feel the pinch less with a Tacoma. If you buy a new or slightly used Toyota Tacoma and put 100,000 or even 150,000 miles or more on it, you will still be able to sell it for a pretty penny. Or, if you want, you will also do well using your Tacoma as a trade-in. By going with a Toyota Tacoma instead of another model, you will pay off your vehicle and enjoy many more years of a reliable truck.

Reliable: Speaking of reliability, if you buy a truck, you need it to work and not let you down. Whether you use your Toyota Tacoma to go off-roading, work or even haul your toys on your weekend diversions, the Tacoma will rarely let you down. Aside from routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire and battery replacements, there isn’t a whole lot you will need to do if you buy a Tacoma.

Customizable: One fun thing about trucks is that they are very easy to customize. Whether you want to add performance, take your truck off-road or make it look cool, there are plenty of options. Since Toyota is a well-known name, a Tacoma owner will have no issue finding aftermarket parts, and someone to install them. Also, due to its popularity, the Tacoma has many forums and like-minded individuals to share ideas and tips with.

Towing: While many use their Toyota Tacomas more lightly, let’s not forget that the Tacoma can also tow. Even with the 2.7-liter engine, one can tow up to 3,500 pounds. If you want more towing power, the V-6 can tow up to 6,800 pounds. This is enough to haul a couple of jet skis or a boat or ATVs. There are also plenty of accessories to help you tow, such as a heavy-duty transmission cooler, which improves your Tacoma’s durability.

At Tim’s Truck, we have a lot of available Toyota Tacoma’s to choose from. Whether you want to tow a lot, drive around the city or enjoy weekends with your kayaks and bikes in the back, the Tacoma is a reliable truck that offers a great resale value, is customizable and reliable.

Road trips are part of the American way of life. There’s nothing like getting behind the wheel of your car and having the freedom to go wherever you want, whenever you want. However, if you want to make sure your trip goes off without a hitch, you should get it ready for that summer road trip, that way you don’t have any surprises that can cost you time and money.

Tune-Up: Not only can a tune-up help you encounter issues before they become bigger, and costlier, but you can also ensure that your car runs more efficiently. By taking your car in for service, you can sometimes enjoy better gas mileage, and with gas prices at near-record highs, a tune-up may pay for itself.

Tires: Your tires are the only part of your car that touches the ground. An unexpected flat tire or blowout could lead to a dangerous accident or at least a costly tow, not to mention how much time it will waste. Inspect your tires, and make sure that they are at the recommended PSI. You will get better gas mileage too. Also check your tread levels, and get new tires if needed. Finally, make sure that your spare is in good shape too, and fill it up with air, if needed.

Check your battery: Batteries last a long time. With that being said, if you are out in the middle of nowhere and your car won’t start, you may be in for trouble. Remember, some places don’t have cell reception. At the same time, remember to always carry jumper cables. This can help you in a pinch, and it may even come in handy for other travelers who aren’t as prepared.

Check the AC: While most of us can live without AC, if you are in certain hot summer destinations, you probably would miss it. If it’s not blowing cold air like it used to or if it’s been a long time since you had it checked, it may be time to bring your car in just to make sure.

Fluids: If you take your car in for a tune-up, fluid levels will be checked. But, if you work on your own car or don’t take it in, it’s best to check fluid level and add accordingly. Check your transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, engine oil and even your windshield wiper fluid. Not only can you avoid costly repairs while on the road, but by topping up your fluids, you won’t have to run around wasting valuable time if you need to top up while on the road.

If you are prepared for your ultimate road trip, you will have less stress, avoid costly repairs while on the road and protect your family. If you want to be prepared for your next road trip, Tim’s Truck can help you as they have a service & parts department, and can help you ensure that your road trip goes off without a hitch.

While it’s certainly up for some debate, and it’s going to change from year to year, we’ve highlighted five of our favorites below.

1. Tons of Safety Features

Nobody wants to sacrifice on safety, and with the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, you don’t have to. While the base model Sierra 1500s doesn’t have as many advanced features, that’s not the case with the Denali.

Newer Denali models will have more features, but they have more than the lower trim options no matter what model year you go with.

The newest Denalis out there come with rearview cameras, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, front and rear park assists, and even forward collision alerts with automatic braking. It’s tons of safety features that help keep you and your truck in perfect condition.

Alright, so maybe this isn’t a Denali-specific feature, but it sure is a great selling point. You’re getting a luxury truck, and you don’t have to sacrifice performance to do it. Just because you want some of the nicer features in your truck doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice performance with the Sierra 1500 Denali.

The model year of the Denali you’re looking at will determine all the integrated features you get with it. Still, whether you’re listening to the radio, Pandora, or Sirius XM, the upgraded sound system is a big hit.

4. Up to 15 Camera Views

This is a feature on newer Sierra 1500 Denalis, but even older models have more camera angles than their lower trim level peers. This makes it easier to navigate your truck, whether it’s towing something, getting off-road, or just navigating a tight parking lot.
