The 2013 Ford F-150 – America’s Best Selling Pickup
The 2013 Ford F-150 full-size pickup can be found in a wide array of trims and powertrains that will accommodate your towing, hauling or off-road needs. The F-150 also has lots electronics features. It’s available in regular, extended (SuperCab) and crew (SuperCrew) body styles. Regular and SuperCabs are offered with either a 6.5-foot or 8-foot cargo bed, while SuperCrews have either a 6.5- or 5.5-foot beds. The Raptor model is available only with the 5.5-foot bed. Within these body styles, nine trim levels are available: the base XL, sporty STX, well-equipped XLT, rugged FX2 and FX4 models, luxurious Lariat, western-inspired King Ranch, extreme off-road Raptor and the opulent Platinum and Limited variants.
The base model XL is often used as a commercial work truck. It comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, a tilt-only steering wheel, vinyl upholstery and an AM/FM radio. The 2015 Acura MDX Crossover – Luxury You Can Afford

2014 Subaru Outback Is A Great Family Car

The 2016 Ram 1500 features a unique coil spring rear suspension to give it the smoothest ride when unloaded, while still having the capability to tow your trailer like a champ when equipped with the stout Hemi gasoline V8 or torquey turbodiesel V6 engine. If you’re not planning to tow heavy loads, the V6 is a great engine that can save you money.
Standard safety equipment on the 2016 Ram 1500 includes four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control, hill-start assist, trailer-sway control, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. A fully integrated trailer-brake controller is available, and you can also get a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors.
The 2016 Ram 1500’s base engine is a 3.6-liter gasoline V6 that generates 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that is controlled by a rotary knob on the instrument panel. A 5.7 liter V8 with 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque is standard on the Sport, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims. It available as an option on all other Rams except the HFE.
An EcoDiesel turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 rated at 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque is optional on all but the Express, Sport and Rebel. It comes with an eight-speed automatic and gets an impressive 23 mpg combined (20 city/28 highway) for 2WD and 22 mpg combined (19 city/27 highway) for 4WD. The HFE EcoDiesel goes even further at 24 mpg combined (21 city/29 highway), earning it the title of most fuel-efficient full-size pickup.
A properly equipped Ram 1500 with the gas V6 can tow up to 7,610 pounds, while the diesel V6 maxes out at 9,210 pounds. The V8 can tow up to 10,640 pounds. The maximum payload for the gas V6 is 1,890 pounds, decreasing to 1,800 pounds with the V8 and 1,600 pounds with the diesel V6.

The 2015 Ram 1500 continues to be one of the top choices in the full-size pickup segment, beating out its main competitors, the 2015 Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado LTZ with a 5.3 liter V8. 2015 was the third year in a row Ram pickups received Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year trophy. The top model was the 2015 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel.
To determine the winners in the popular half-ton pickup segment, Motor Trend put the Ram EcoDiesel, the Chevy and the Fort models through a comprehensive series of tests. Trucks were tested fully-loaded as well as unloaded. The Ram’s EcoDiesel beat out the other two brands in every category.
The EcoDiesel came out on top because of its superior ride quality, engine quality and fuel efficiency, smooth transmission and ease in towing. In addition, it features a comfortable and sporty interior.
The 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel is also one of the most fuel-efficient pickups in the country, getting an impressive 28 mpg on the highway. The EcoDiesel’s engine also delivers 420 lb.-ft of torque that enables it to tow a maximum of 9,200 pounds.

GMC’s Sierra 1500 Hybrid second generation was produced from 2009-2013. This full-size crew cab pickup is available in one fully-loaded trim level. You can find it in two- or four-wheel drive.
This high-tech truck has a 6.0-liter V8, two electric motors and a 300-volt battery pack under the rear seat. Its ‘twin’, the Chevy Silverado Hybrid has the same engine configuration. This sophisticated transmission can operate like a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or switch over to four fixed ratios for top towing performance. The combined power output is 379 horsepower which allows a maximum tow rating of 6,100 pounds.
Standard features on both pickups include OnStar, Bluetooth and a CD/MP3 stereo with steering-wheel audio controls and satellite radio. Some models may come with the optional rear parking sensors, sunroof, hard bed tonneau cover, leather upholstery, navigation system, rearview camera and power-adjustable pedals.
#GMCSierra and Chevy Silverado parallel hybrid trucks were first introduced in 2005. In this mild-hybrid design, the electric motor only provides battery charging, engine cranking, and power for accessories. The 5.3-liter V8 automatically shuts down when the truck comes to a stop. When the brake pedal is released the power is restarted. The three auxiliary batteries are mounted under the rear seat. Several AC outlets are mounted in the bed, making this truck an attractive choice for anyone who uses electricity on the job site.
