2015 Ram – “Truck of the Year”
For the third year in a row, Motor Trend named a Ram pickup as their “Truck of the Year” in 2015. The publishers picked the 2015 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman as their top choice in the full-size pickup segment. It won out over the 2015 Ford F-150. In addition, the #2015Ram1500Outdoorsman EcoDiesal came out on top in a comparison with both the Ford F-150 EcoBoost V6 and the Chevy Silverado LTZ with a 5.3 liter V8.
These three trucks were put through a thorough battery of tests, loaded and unloaded. In the final analysis, the Ram’s EcoDiesel won out over the other two brands in every category. Motor Trend’s associate editor said they did such a comprehensive comparison because the half-ton pickup truck is one of the most important and competitive segments in the industry.
